Something Blue & Natural :: Austin Wedding Cakes

This cake was especially fun to make because it was for my friends Amber and Ben. They got married in California and decided to have a Texas, bed and breakfast retreat/ reception.

Amber gave me free reign on her cake, so I chose to style it after the wedding invitation, which had a very natural, tree branch theme, accented with brown, green, and turquoise.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Bridal Shower Cakes :: Austin Wedding & Party Cakes

This cake is the perfect accent for bridal showers, baby showers, birthday’s, or even Mother’s Day.

This cake features a Cornelli Lace design, which is simply a series of random, connecting scrolls.

It is easily customized by changing the color of the icing, and adding the topper of your choice. In this cake, we provided the topper, which was a silk floral bouquet and a custom note for the bride.

Mosaic Birthday Cake :: Austin Birthday & Party Cakes

This cake was for a couple that shared the same birthday month and it was also their wedding anniversary. To celebrate the occasion they wanted a cake that incorporated all of those elements.

Together, we came up with this cake that was based off of the colors and design of the party invitation.

Here is one of our recent cakes that we took to Mercury Hall.

Our client selected from our line of Simply Elegant Budget Cakes because she wanted something simple, that was still made with real butter and other premium ingredients, and was under $500.

Our Simply Elegant Cakes are semi-custom designs, meaning you can choose from pre-selected designs, and then mix-and-match to create the look that you want. These styles are also great alone, or accented by fresh flowers.

Pretty in Pink Cake Batter

The past few weeks I have been testing out a new strawberry cake recipe to add to the menu of flavors.  It’s been hard trying to find a strawberry cake that I love, but I think this new recipe might be the winner!  It’s made with a fresh strawberry puree, as well as the other ingredients that make my cakes awesome, but I can’t tell you what those are. =)

Superbowl Sunday! :: Austin Party & Birthday Cakes

The Saints and the Colts are about to play in the Superbowl in just a little while; it should be exciting considering that this is the first Superbowl for the Saints.

Anyway, Superbowl is synonymous for snacks…and LOTS of them at that. Chips and dip, buffalo wings, queso, soda, and you can’t forget the popcorn!!

Oh yes. That’s a cake with real popcorn. The best snack ever!
